Summary (Newest Update)

Background This solicitation FA452826QPKB2 is issued by the United States Air Force as a request for quotation (RFQ) for a Waterous CPK-5 Two-Stage Fire Pump. The purpose of this acquisition is to replace the existing CPK-5 fire pump with serial number 156883, which is specifically designed and integrated into the ultra-high-pressure configuration of the Oshkosh P-19 aircraft rescue and firefighting platform. This contract is set aside for small business concerns. Work Details The contract requires the delivery of 1 unit of the CPK-5 Two-Stage Fire Pump with the following specifications: 1. Model: CPK-5 2. Rated Capacity: 320 3. Material: Iron 4. Paint Color: Red Oxide Primer M 4142-P per PR1532 5. Input Shaft: 1-1/2 in SAE-10 Spline 6. Voltage: 12 Volt 7. Discharge Pressure: 1350 8. Input Rotation: Clockwise 9. Pump Discharge Position: Up 10. Hydro Test Pressure: 2025 11. Ratio: 2.26 12. Transmission Mounting Position: Inverted. Additional components include: - Iron Body, 4 in. Victaulic Intake, 1-1/2 in. ANSI Discharge, CW Input, Discharge Up, Inverted Transmission Mounting. - Extra Heavy Duty K Transmission with a ratio of 2.26. The equipment must be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the 5th Logistics Readiness Squadron at 309 Summit Drive, Minot AFB, ND 58705. Period of Performance Delivery is requested as soon as possible but no later than September 30, 2026. Place of Performance 5th Logistics Readiness Squadron, 309 Summit Drive, Minot AFB, ND 58705. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be small business concerns as this opportunity is set aside for them. Additionally, bidders are required to meet manufacturer or reseller authorizations and comply with any domestic sourcing requirements. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a closely related prior contract for the same brand/model fire pump, with ATAP, Inc. awarded FA469024P0062 for $29,084 (09/11/24–12/04/24). That prior award required providing a new (not remanufactured) Waterous CPK-5 two-stage fire pump as a brand name requirement for an Oshkosh ultra-high-pressure firefighting truck (P23), with installation performed in-house. The current RFQ similarly calls for a new CPK-5 two-stage fire pump to replace an existing unit integrated into an Oshkosh ultra-high-pressure configuration (P-19), indicating continuity in the type of equipment and replacement purpose.
