Work Details The Media Relations Assistant will be responsible for: - Developing and executing a media strategy utilizing radio, television, print, and social media to educate the community about USAO and DOJ initiatives aimed at preventing violent crime and combating fraud. - Publicizing efforts of the USAO to deter criminal conduct and raise public awareness of criminal activities. - Strengthening relationships between the USAO and law enforcement agencies by recognizing their contributions publicly. - Planning, writing, and editing news releases related to USAO priority programs, training, community outreach efforts, cases, achievements (including indictments, pleas, convictions), and sentencing outcomes. - Coordinating press conferences related to these topics. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from June 24, 2026 through June 23, 2027 with four option years available. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the United States Attorney's Office located at 501 East Court Street, Suite 4.430, Jackson, MS 39201.
