Summary (Newest Update)

Background The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a non-competitive basis to Boston University for the continued integration of the NHLBI Laboratory of Hemostasis & Platelet Biology into the Framingham Heart Study (FHS). Boston University operates the FHS and is uniquely positioned to provide on-site access to participants, samples, and core de-identified participant data necessary for this research. This acquisition is conducted and is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. Work Details The contract involves the following tasks: 1. Coordination and integration of ancillary studies into a single holistic examination within Framingham Heart Study operations. The NHLBI Laboratory of Hemostasis & Platelet Biology requires continued integration into the FHS to support ongoing research on platelet reactivity, population variation, and genetic and epidemiological associations with platelet biology. All services must be performed on-site at the FHS Performance Location due to the sensitivity of platelet samples, which require data collection within approximately 3 hours of blood draw. Transporting samples to another site is not acceptable. Period of Performance 06/10/2026 to 06/09/2027 Place of Performance 73 Mount Wayte Ave, Suite 2 Framingham, MA 01702 Bidder Requirements The requirement is not set aside for small business.
