Animal Behavior Assessment Services for the Trenton Animal Shelter

Background

The City of Trenton, located in Mercer County, New Jersey, is seeking bids for Animal Behavior Assessment Services for the Trenton Animal Shelter. This initiative is part of the Department of Health and Human Services' efforts to improve animal welfare and behavior assessment within the shelter. Work Details

The contractor will provide comprehensive animal behavior assessment services, which may include but are not limited to: evaluating the behavior of shelter animals, providing training recommendations, developing behavior modification plans, and offering guidance on handling techniques. The contractor must have experience working with a variety of animal species typically found in shelters. Specific deliverables include written reports on assessments conducted, recommendations for training or behavioral interventions, and ongoing consultation as needed.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of one (1) year from the date of award.

Services will be performed at the Trenton Animal Shelter located at 319 East State Street, Trenton, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with several requirements including: submission of a Notice of Intent to Use a Subcontract; provision of a list of subcontractors; submission of licenses and business registration certificates; compliance with affirmative action regulations; and certification of non-debarment from federal contracts. Bidders are also required to provide three references related to similar work performed.
