Background

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) is the largest institution of higher education in Kentucky, comprising 16 colleges that serve approximately 80,000 students annually. This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to engage qualified firms to provide café services at Maysville Community & Technical College (MCTC). The goal is to meet the needs of its student, faculty, and staff population with quality food and beverage options.

Work Details

The successful vendor will operate and manage food services within a dining area of approximately 2,500 square feet at MCTC. The services include: - Providing a variety of quality food and beverage options, including fresh food items (sandwiches, salads), cold and hot beverages, and snacks. - Maintaining industry-standard food handling procedures. - Conducting customer satisfaction surveys and campus promotions. - Employing sufficient staff dressed in uniforms who will adhere to college policies. - Ensuring cleanliness in dining areas and compliance with health regulations. - Submitting a sample menu with pricing for the first year of service, which must remain firm unless adjusted during annual renewals based on market conditions.

Period of Performance

The contract will have an initial term of one year starting from August 2026, with potential renewals based on performance evaluations.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at Maysville Community & Technical College, Rowan Campus in Morehead, Kentucky.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must demonstrate experience in providing similar services and maintain compliance with all applicable Kentucky laws. They must also provide evidence of liability insurance coverage as specified, including naming KCTCS as an additional insured. Additionally, offerors are required to submit licenses and financial statements if requested.
