Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV)

Background

The County of Hawai'i is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #26-0272 for the procurement of Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to support the Hawaii Police Department. The goal is to enhance the department's operational capabilities by providing reliable and efficient vehicles that meet specific performance standards.

Work Details

The contract requires the delivery of two (2) Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) that meet or exceed the specifications of a Toyota 4Runner SR5. The vehicles must be new, latest model year, and include features such as: - Aesthetically pleasing design with high-quality workmanship. - Compliance with all Federal, State, and OSHA regulations. - Required accessories including rain guard vent shades on all applicable doors. - Delivery to the Hawaii Police Department fully assembled, serviced, and registered with a full tank of fuel. - Each vehicle must come with a set of owner’s, repair, and parts manuals. - Warranty coverage of at least thirty-six (36) months bumper-to-bumper. - Delivery must occur within 180 days from the Notice to Proceed.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period will commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within 180 days.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made to the Hawaii Police Department located at 349 Kapiolani Street, Hilo, HI 96720.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific requirements including: - Proof of compliance with state laws regarding tax clearance, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, temporary disability insurance, and prepaid health care. - Bidders must be registered to do business in Hawaii or be a compliant non-Hawaii business. - No bid bonds or performance bonds are required for this IFB.
