Site Provision for Disposal of Organic and Tree Stump Material within CBERRRSA Service Area

Background

The Municipality of Anchorage is issuing Invitation to Bid No. 2026B044 for the provision of a site for the disposal of organic and tree stump material within the Chugiak, Birchwood, Eagle River Rural Road Service Area (CBERRRSA). This contract supports the Public Works Department, specifically the Eagle River Street Maintenance division, in managing waste disposal effectively.

Work Details

The contractor will provide a disposal site for: 1. Up to 25,000 cubic yards (CY) of unusable organic material within the CBERRRSA area. 2. Up to 5,000 CY of trees/stumps within the same area. The contractor is responsible for all arrangements and costs associated with disposal sites and must ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and permits. Disposal sites must be maintained to prevent public nuisance and must be approved by the Municipality.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence on June 15, 2026, or upon contract execution, whichever is later. It will last for twelve months with an option to renew for three additional one-year periods upon mutual consent.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed within the Chugiak, Birchwood, Eagle River Rural Road Service Area in Alaska.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific insurance requirements before award, including general liability and workers' compensation insurance. The Municipality of Anchorage must be listed as an additional insured on all relevant policies. Bidders are also required to submit a completed Contractor Questionnaire within five days of request by the Purchasing Officer.
