Background The Command Chaplain at Marine Corps Base (MCB), Quantico, Virginia is tasked with providing a comprehensive Command Religious Program for active-duty personnel, military retirees, civilian employees, and their family members at MCB, Quantico Memorial Chapel. The contract aims to secure coordinators of religious education for both Roman Catholic and Protestant faiths to execute this mission effectively. Work Details The Contractor shall provide one individual qualified in the Roman Catholic Faith and one in the Protestant Faith. Responsibilities include implementing multiple religious education programs running from September to June, facilitating ecumenical activities, and completing tasks weekly and on Sundays. Specific tasks include: - For Roman Catholic CRE: Coordinating religious education programs, managing registrations, recruiting volunteers, conducting training sessions, organizing retreats and sacramental preparation events, developing an annual calendar of events, and submitting a Comprehensive Religious Education Plan annually. - For Protestant CRE: Proposing educational programs under oversight of the Command Chaplain, coordinating registrations, developing an annual calendar of events, submitting a Comprehensive Religious Education Plan annually, recruiting volunteers for classes, and ensuring all volunteers are properly vetted. Period of Performance The period of performance is for one 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Chapel, Chapel Annex, or Education Building in Quantico, VA. Bidder Requirements Bidders must ensure that personnel undergo Criminal History Background Checks (CHBC) as per DoD Instruction (DoDI 1402.5). The Roman Catholic CRE must be baptized and confirmed in the Roman Catholic Faith and certified as a Catechist through the Archdiocese for Military Services within one year. The Protestant CRE must possess a well-rounded religious educational background encompassing various Protestant denominations. All CREs must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and be adaptable to changes due to military relocations.
