Summary: Background The USDA Forest Service is issuing this solicitation for the Cass Job Corps Center to ensure the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems and related components. The goal of the contract is to provide comprehensive annual inspection, testing, and maintenance services for all Government-owned fire alarm systems at the Job Corps Cass Center, ensuring they remain operational and compliant with applicable codes and regulations. Work Details The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and expertise necessary to perform the following tasks: 1. Conduct comprehensive annual inspections of all fire alarm systems and associated components. 2. Perform testing and maintenance to ensure full operational condition. 3. Conduct annual inspections of portable fire extinguishers. 4. Carry out semi-annual inspections of Ansul fire suppression systems. 5. Execute smoke detector sensitivity tests as required. Period of Performance The contract will consist of one (1) one-year base period with four (4) one-year option periods, totaling a maximum duration of five (5) years. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the USDA Forest Service Cass Job Corps Center. Bidder Requirements Contractors must demonstrate the ability to meet schedule requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). They must provide a detailed explanation if any requirement in the SOW cannot be accomplished. Additionally, contractors must have acceptable past performance records or neutral ratings based on previous contracts with the USDA or other federal sources.
