Background

The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is seeking proposals for construction services for the Washburn Entrance Addition and Landscaping project at Snow College in Richfield, Utah. This project aims to enhance the campus's accessibility and aesthetics by adding a new entrance and renovating the surrounding landscape. The estimated construction cost is $5,400,000.

Work Details

The project involves constructing an approximately 5,000 square foot entry addition on the south side of the Washburn building, which will serve as a primary gateway for the campus. The new space will include a student commons, Welcome Center, kitchenette, storage, and mechanical facilities. Additionally, there will be a complete landscape renovation between the Washburn and Administration buildings to create new gathering spaces for students. DFCM Roofing Design Requirements

- Compliance with State of Utah High Performance Building Standards. Additive alternates include options for a wood ceiling, wood wall, and additional landscaping as specified in the plans.

Period of Performance

The substantial completion of the project is required prior to July 30, 2027.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must be licensed by the State of Utah and comply with all licensing laws. They are required to submit a DFCM Termination or Debarment Form certifying that neither they nor their principals are debarred or suspended from government work. Contractors must also provide performance and payment bonds upon contract award.
