The City of Bridgeport, the most populous city in Connecticut, is seeking bids for Bread and Bakery Items to support its public schools. The contract includes the provision of various bread and bakery items such as gluten-free hamburger buns, hot dog buns, pita pockets, muffins, rolls, and pizza dough. Specific items include:

Deliveries will be made primarily to the Food & Nutrition Services Nutrition Center at 113 Federal Street, Bridgeport, CT.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to commence on or about August 31, 2026, and conclude on June 30, 2027. Pricing submitted must remain firm through June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The primary delivery location is the Food & Nutrition Services Nutrition Center at 113 Federal Street, Bridgeport, CT. Additional deliveries may be made to various district school locations as directed by the Food & Nutrition Services Department.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a vendor statement confirming compliance with USDA rules and regulations on company letterhead. They must also provide a copy of their CT Secretary of State registration and evidence of guarantee for utilizing donated government commodities. A complete nutritional analysis must be included with all product labels. Additionally, bidders are required to submit copies of their last two state health inspections and three references with capability statements.
