Beaver County School District - Structural Engineering Services for 10th Street Center

Background

Beaver County School District (BCSD) is seeking qualifications from structural engineering firms to provide design and related engineering services for structural upgrades to the 10th Street Center. A building assessment has identified multiple projects that require completion. The selected firm will assist BCSD in determining the fiscal feasibility of these projects. If approved by the BCSD Board of Education, the firm will also help procure general contractor services and oversee construction.

Work Details

The selected engineering firm will be responsible for: 1. Designing structural remodel work based on a completed building assessment. 2. Estimating costs for each project to determine fiscal feasibility. 3. Assisting with procuring general contractor services upon Board of Education approval of design and budget. 4. Providing oversight of the general contractor through project completion. The projected timeline includes: - RFSQ due by June 18, 2026; - Design options and budget estimates completed by October 1, 2026; - Bid date for general contractor services on October 31, 2026; - Construction to begin on November 15, 2026; - Substantial completion by June 15, 2027.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to span from June 18, 2026 (RFSQ due) to June 15, 2027 (substantial completion).

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Beaver County School District's facilities located at 291 N. Main Street, Beaver, UT.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of professional liability insurance coverage with a minimum annual aggregate limit of $1,000,000. They must also submit a certification confirming that neither the firm nor its principals are debarred or suspended from soliciting work by any governmental agency. Additionally, successful vendors must conduct background checks for employees working at the site.
