Architectural Services for Gym and Classroom Addition

Background

Venture Academy is requesting proposals from qualified firms for design services for a new construction project. This project includes an approximately 12,500 square foot Pre-Fab Steel Gym adjacent to the existing High School building and a remodel of the existing gym to create two classrooms. The aim is to enhance educational facilities and provide additional space for physical activities.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: 1. Construction of a new gym addition approximately 12,500 sq ft (100x125) featuring: - A full-size regulation basketball court with 6-8 row retractable bleachers on one side. - An entryway on the west side of the building with roughly three restrooms, one custodial closet, and three large storage rooms. 2. Remodeling of the existing gym to create two classrooms using approximately 35ft x 55ft on the south end of the gym. The remaining north side (60’ x 55’) will remain untouched for auxiliary purposes. The second classroom will be built above the first with access from existing second-floor walkways and a new egress staircase on the west side. 3. Architectural services including programming, concept development, schematic design, final design phase, preparation of construction documents, regular site visits, processing ASIs and RFIs, reviewing pay requests, and assisting with punch-list and close-out items.

Period of Performance

The RFQ is due by June 5, 2026. Programming is expected to begin around June 22, 2026, with the bid set complete by September 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

Construction will take place at Venture Academy located at 508 N 1500 W, Marriott-Slaterville, UT 84404.

Bidder Requirements

Firms must demonstrate relevant experience with similar projects and school-specific experience. Proposals must include a cover letter confirming understanding of the RFQ elements and schedule dates, a summary statement of qualifications, and contact information for a single representative during the review process.
