Electrical installation services Auke Bay Laboratory (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested - a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1333MF26Q0046 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), for installation and wiring in of a Delta-T 20-Ton chiller unit and twenty-four (24) new light fixtures. Both the new chiller unit and light fixtures will be supplied by the government. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 238210. Summary: Background The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is issuing this solicitation for electrical installation services at the Auke Bay Laboratory in Juneau, Alaska. The purpose of this contract is to upgrade the wet lab facilities at the Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute (TSMRI) to enhance research capabilities related to marine fish studies. The current wet lab lacks adequate controls for water temperature and photoperiod, which are critical for investigating the performance and survival of marine fishes under varying environmental conditions. Work Details The contractor will provide all necessary equipment, materials, and labor for the installation of a Delta-T 20-ton chiller unit and twenty-four (24) new light fixtures. Specific tasks include: - Installation of a Delta T Systems, Inc. Model: VSPA-020 chiller, requiring a 90a 480v breaker to be installed at the panel. The chiller will be connected to panel NMDS. - Installation of new Red Sky Model: RND2-8L 55w 90CRI lighting fixtures with mounts, including demolition of existing fixtures and reworking/wiring at least two existing fixtures for egress lighting. - New fixtures will be installed in four zones with six fixtures each, controlled as a group with 0-10v dimming functionality and timer capabilities. Timers must have an astronomical function. - Installation must consider the saltwater environment, preferring PVC conduit and outdoor-rated enclosures. Period of Performance The contract performance period is set for 60 days after award.
