Background The Cibola National Forest, part of the USDA, is seeking to procure tree shelters for a reforestation project. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns under the North American Industry Classification Standard Code 113210. The goal of this contract is to supply 60,000 conical high-UV seedling protection shelters to support environmental restoration efforts. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for supplying 60,000 conical high-UV seedling protection shelters with the following specifications: - Material: Rigid Polymer that can support full body weight for installation without tools; must be high UV translucent in a light, off-white color to reflect solar loads and prevent excessive temperatures inside the shelter. - Design: Conical and self-staking. - Dimensions: 7 inches in diameter at the base, 4 inches at the top, and 18 inches in height. - Packaging: Shelters must be shipped on pallets with protective covers for outdoor storage, with approximately 1,600 to 2,000 units per pallet. - Delivery Point: Magdalena RD Fire Work Center, 4054 NM-107, Magdalena, NM 87801. Delivery trucks must have a lift for unloading as there is no forklift or loading dock available at the delivery location.
