Summary: Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of HVAC systems at the Apollo District within Canaveral National Seashore (CANA). The goal of this contract is to enhance the operational efficiency and comfort of facilities within the park by upgrading outdated HVAC systems. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses, emphasizing the agency's commitment to supporting small business participation in federal contracting. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for replacing multiple HVAC systems at various facilities within the Apollo District, specifically: 1. Eldora HVAC System 2. Resource Management Facility HVAC System 3. Fellers Research Facility HVAC System 4. Schultz HVAC System Each replacement task includes providing all labor, parts, tools, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary for the successful installation of refrigeration, air conditioning, and air circulating equipment as specified in the attached Statement of Work. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at various locations within Canaveral National Seashore, specifically at the Apollo District facilities located at 7611 S. Atlantic Ave., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a valid registration with a total small business designation. A Bid Guarantee (Bid Bond) is required at 20% of the bid total. Contractors must also provide proof of liability insurance with specified minimum coverage amounts: $1 million for worker’s compensation and employer’s liability; $500,000 per person and $1 million per occurrence for general liability; and $2 million for property damage. Additionally, contractors must furnish performance and payment bonds.
