Summary (Newest Update)

Background The USAF Air Demonstration Squadron (USAFADS) Thunderbirds is the U.S. Air Force’s premier air demonstration squadron, performing and recruiting globally. Due to frequent team member rotations and daily use of Thunderbird-specific uniforms, it is challenging to predict the material needs on a monthly basis. To address these challenges, a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is being established for uniform alteration requirements. Work Details The contractor shall provide non-personal services under this five-year BPA for recurring Thunderbirds Alterations. The specific work includes: - Alterations to the Thunderbird duty uniform shirt: Adjust sleeve length in/out, sew crease on inside/outside of sleeve, adjust body of shirt in/out and/or up/down, sew crease on inside body along sides, apply/remove rank insignia, apply Thunderbird logo patch and meatball Velcro (patches will be provided). - Alterations to the Thunderbird duty uniform pant: Adjust pant length in/out, adjust body of pant in/out, adjust waistband in/out, sew crease on front/back of pant legs, sew front pockets down. - Repair of any uniform items deemed serviceable with minor repairs as determined by alterations professionals and the Thunderbirds uniform supply manager. This includes repairing/re-altering uniforms not deemed 'show quality' and applying/removing patches to fleece/blue jackets. Period of Performance Five years from contract award. Place of Performance USAFADS Thunderbirds Building 292, 4445 Tyndall Ave., Nellis AFB, NV 89191. Bidder Requirements Prospective vendors must be registered prior to contract award. Lack of registration shall be a determining factor for contract award. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on the prior “THUNDERBIRD ALTERATIONS BPA” awarded under FA486121A0013 (idv) to Wolf Christina, with a period of performance from 08/02/21 to 07/07/26. The current five-year BPA for recurring Thunderbirds alterations covers the same types of uniform shirt and pant adjustments, minor repairs, and patch application/removal described in the prior effort, suggesting the requirement is being re-established as a continuation of the existing uniform alteration support.
