Background

The Town of Coventry, through its Department of Public Works, is seeking bids for the procurement of pipes, castings, and erosion controls. The goal of this contract is to supply necessary materials that meet specific engineering and environmental standards for public works projects within the town. The contract will be awarded by the Town Council following a bid opening scheduled for June 17, 2026.

Work Details

The contractor will provide the following products: 1. High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipe: - Sizes: 12”, 15”, 18”, 24”, 30”, and 36” with specified weights per foot.

Tubing sizes of 6”, 8”, and 10” in 25-foot lengths with couplings included. 2. Cast Iron Castings: - Various sizes including frames and grates (24” x 24” x 4” and others) with different flange configurations. 3. Erosion Controls: - Items include a 3’ silt fence (100’ long), straw wattles (12”), filter fabric (12’ wide), silt sacks, grade stakes (25 per bundle), and erosion blankets (NAG 350). All prices must include delivery to the Department of Public Works at the specified address.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be fulfilled by June 2026.

Place of Performance

All products are to be delivered to the Department of Public Works located at 1670 Flat River Road, Coventry, Rhode Island, 02816.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the United States, State of Rhode Island, and local ordinances. Bids must specify warranties for products offered and include a full descriptive brochure detailing the materials being bid.
