Background

The Town of Coventry, through its Department of Public Works, is seeking bids for towing services to support its operations. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of reliable towing services for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles 24/7. Work Details

The contractor will be required to provide towing services for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in all types of weather conditions. Specific requirements include: 1) Availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; 2) Reporting to the call location within two hours of notification; 3) Providing proof of adequate size vehicles in their fleet to meet service demands. The bid form includes rates for light, medium, and heavy tow services for the years 2026-2028.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective from June 17, 2026, and will cover a period extending through the fiscal years 2026-2028.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of the Town of Coventry, Rhode Island.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a Certificate of Insurance demonstrating compliance with commercial general liability and workers' compensation insurance requirements. They must also submit a notarized affidavit (non-collusion oath), a vendor responsibility form, and an Equal Opportunity Employer form. Bidders are required to comply with all applicable laws and local ordinances.
