Background

The State of Maine, through its Department of Administrative and Financial Services and the Office of State Procurement Services (OSPS), is seeking quotations for rental clothing that meets Class 2 Ark Flash Rated specifications. This RFQ is issued on behalf of the Department of Transportation, aiming to establish a contract for the rental of safety clothing for state employees. The goal is to ensure that all employees have access to high-quality, compliant uniforms that meet safety standards.

Work Details

The contractor will provide rental clothing that includes: - Pants (12 oz. Denim Indura, Navy; 9 oz. Ultrasoft Dickies Style, Navy) - Long Sleeve Shirts (7 oz. Khaki and Light Blue) - Bomber Jackets (11 oz. Brown Duck) - Coveralls (Armorez FR, Navy) - Wipes (various sizes) All clothing must be Class 2 Ark Flash Rated and provided on a laundry rental basis. Initial uniforms must be new and fitted on-site for each employee. Weekly deliveries will be made, with clean clothes delivered on hangers, grouped by employee. The vendor must also provide a performance guarantee and maintain consistent style and brand throughout the contract duration.

Period of Performance

The initial period of performance is from June 15, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with options for up to four additional one-year extensions.

Place of Performance

The contract will cover deliveries to various State of Maine facilities as designated by the Department of Transportation and other state departments.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a notarized Code of Conduct Affidavit for all clothing items bid. They must comply with all applicable laws regarding workplace conditions and provide documentation proving compliance with the State Purchasing Code of Conduct. Bidders are required to have no debarments or suspensions from government contracts and must affirm their ability to deliver quality uniforms that meet specified standards.
