Background

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) is issuing this solicitation for the 2026 Airside Electrical Construction P2 project at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The goal of this contract is to upgrade existing runway lights to LED and replace runway conductors, enhancing safety and operational efficiency at the airport.

Work Details

The project involves the following tasks: 1. Upgrade of existing runway lights to LED, including removal of existing fixtures and installation of new fixtures provided by the owner. 2. Replacement of runway conductors, specifically the removal and installation of new 5kV conductors for Runway 17-35 circuits. The specific items to be provided include: - Mobilization: 1 LS

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by June 1, 2026.

Place of Performance

All work will be performed at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with Minnesota Statute, Section 473.144 regarding affirmative action plans for contracts exceeding $100,000. Evidence of compliance must be submitted within one MAC business day following bid opening. Additionally, there is a goal for Small Business utilization set at 11%. Bidders are required to make a good faith effort to meet this goal.
