Background

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) is issuing this solicitation for the 2026 Pre-Conditioned Air Unit Replacement project at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The MAC's mission includes ensuring efficient airport operations and enhancing passenger experience. This contract aims to facilitate the removal of existing pre-conditioned air and ground power units and their replacement at five gates in Terminal 1, thereby improving airport infrastructure.

Work Details

The project involves electrical work and associated infrastructure necessary for the removal of existing pre-conditioned air and ground power units, as well as the installation of new units at five gates. The approximate quantities of major items of work are as follows:

Traffic Control

1 Lump Sum - Mobilization: 1 Lump Sum

Electrical Distribution Per Gate

5 Lump Sum.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by June 1, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Terminal 1, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with Minnesota Statute, Section 473.144 regarding affirmative action plans for contracts exceeding $100,000. Evidence of compliance must be submitted within one MAC business day following the opening of bids. Additionally, there is a goal for the utilization of Small Businesses (SB) set at 14% for this project. Bidders are required to demonstrate good faith efforts to meet this goal.
