Background

The A-33 Chemical Feed Piping Replacement project is initiated by the City of Lincoln, Nebraska, specifically through the Lincoln Wastewater System. The project aims to replace existing chemical feed piping systems to improve operational efficiency and safety in handling caustic and sodium hypochlorite materials. Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1) Removal of existing ½”, 1”, 1.5”, and 2” SCH 80 CPVC caustic and sodium hypochlorite piping along with appurtenances, including a 6” CPVC section at chemical feed piping taps. 2) Furnishing a complete advanced polyethylene piping system which includes all necessary components such as fittings, anchors, pipe supports, valves, and chemical metering pumps mounted on poly skids with associated apparatuses and pipe joining equipment. The work will be conducted at the Theresa Street WRRF in Lincoln, NE.

Period of Performance

The contract work is scheduled to begin after the Notice to Proceed is issued, with substantial completion expected by October 30, 2026, and final completion by November 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will take place on-site at the Theresa Street Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) located in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability (GL), Automobile Liability (AL), Workers' Compensation (WC), and Pollution/Environmental Liability coverage. Additionally, bidders are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) listing the Owner as an additional insured. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract value will also be required upon award.
