Background

The State of South Carolina is issuing a solicitation for STC Temporary Doctors Services under a Statewide Term Contract. The purpose of this contract is to provide medical staffing solutions through Locum Tenens, which are temporary healthcare employment agencies. The goal is to ensure that Using Governmental Units (UGUs) have access to qualified medical professionals including Dentists, Physicians, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and other Medical Doctors as needed.

Work Details

The contractor will provide professional medical staffing solutions for various positions including Dentists, Physicians, Psychiatrists, and Psychologists. These positions will cover all age groups from pediatric to geriatric care. All personnel must be licensed by the State of South Carolina in their respective fields. The contractor must ensure compliance with the Affordable Care Act and is responsible for all employment-related costs including wages and insurance. Specific requirements include: - Dentists will perform examinations and deliver dental treatment while also conducting health education programs. - Physicians will provide direct patient care involving evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment across various specialties. - Psychiatrists will offer psychiatric evaluations and treatments while supervising residents. - Psychologists will provide diagnostic and intervention services for mental health issues. Additionally, the contractor must conduct background checks and drug screenings for all employees prior to assignment.

Period of Performance

The estimated contract period is from October 12, 2026, to October 11, 2031, with an initial term of one year and four optional one-year extensions.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at locations specified by the Using Governmental Units in their purchase orders throughout the State of South Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Only offers from Locum Tenens (temporary healthcare employment agencies) will be accepted. Contractors must have a state vendor number to submit an offer. They are required to comply with all applicable laws including the South Carolina Code of Laws regarding procurement. Additionally, contractors must provide proof of insurance coverage as per the requirements stated in the solicitation.
