Summary: Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a contract for vegetation control at the Cape Fear Locks and Dams in Bladen County, North Carolina. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, vehicles, and materials necessary for hillside vegetation clearing and herbicide applications at three locations: Cape Fear Lock and Dam 1 (966 Lock #1 Road, Riegelwood, NC), Cape Fear Lock and Dam 2 (645 Lock #2 Road, Elizabethtown, NC), and William O. Husk Lock and Dam (1248 Bill Hall Road, Fayetteville, NC). The work includes: - Clearing hillside vegetation to prevent overgrowth that may obstruct views or access. - Applying herbicides to shoreline rip rap and lock esplanades to manage unwanted plant growth. - Ensuring compliance with safety standards during all operations. Period of Performance Base Year: Date of Award – 05/14/2027; Option Year 1: 05/15/2027 – 05/14/2028; Option Year 2: 05/15/2028 – 05/14/2029; Option Year 3: 05/15/2029 – 05/14/2030; Option Year 4: 05/15/2030 – 05/14/2031. Services shall be performed between May 15 and September 30 each year. Place of Performance Cape Fear Lock and Dam locations in Bladen County, North Carolina. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide proof of a current North Carolina Department of Agriculture Pest Control Division certified applicator license prior to the start of work. Offerors are required to submit prior experience of recent contracts/projects similar to the requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), specifically at least two relevant contracts/projects completed within the last five years. Offerors must not have any relevant past performance evaluations rated as 'Unsatisfactory' or 'Marginal' in the last five years.
