Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal

Background

The Office of Procurement to Payment Services issues this Invitation to Bid to establish a contract with qualified Suppliers for Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal Services for the Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS), specifically for Owensboro Community and Technical College. KCTCS is comprised of 17 colleges providing accessible and affordable education across Kentucky. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the campuses are maintained in a clean and safe condition throughout the year.

Work Details

The successful supplier will provide the following services: 1. **Grounds Maintenance**: This includes mowing grass, trimming, blowing clippings, and ensuring all three campus grounds are left clean after each visit. Chemical applications are handled by OCTC Maintenance. Specific locations include: - Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303 (only the front ditch and median) - Southeast Campus at 1901 Southeastern Parkway, Owensboro, KY 42303 (entire campus) - Downtown Campus at 1503 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42303 (entire campus). A minimum of thirty visits per year is required for each location, including fall and spring cleanup. 2. **Snow Removal**: This includes snow and ice removal from driveways, parking areas, sidewalks, and applying salt treatment as necessary. Snow must be plowed when accumulation reaches one inch or more. The same two campuses will be serviced for snow removal as mentioned above.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will be for one year from the execution date with four additional one-year renewal periods upon mutual agreement.

Services will be performed at the following locations: - OCTC Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303 - OCTC Southeast Campus at 1901 Southeastern Parkway, Owensboro, KY 42303 - OCTC Downtown Campus at 1503 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42303.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all specified requirements including being authorized to do business in Kentucky. They must also provide proof of insurance coverage as outlined in the solicitation documents. Additionally, bidders must have adequate equipment and personnel available to ensure timely service delivery.
