Background

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (KCT-01414) to establish a contract for Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal Services for Owensboro Community and Technical College. KCTCS aims to provide accessible and affordable education through its 17 colleges across Kentucky. Work Details

The contractor will provide the following services: 1. Grounds Maintenance: - Mowing grass, including removal of light debris, trimming, and blowing clippings from surfaces. This service will be performed weekly as needed across three campuses: Main Campus (New Hartford Road front ditch and median), Southeast Campus, and Downtown Campus. - Chemical applications are excluded as they are handled by OCTC Maintenance. - A minimum of thirty visits per year for each location is required, including fall and spring cleanup. 2. Snow Removal: - Snow and ice removal from driveways, parking areas, and sidewalks at the Southeast Campus and Downtown Campus. - Plowing snow when accumulation reaches one inch or more, applying salt treatment to prevent ice accumulation on all designated areas.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award with an initial term of one year, with the possibility of four one-year renewals based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the following locations: 1. OCTC Main Campus, 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303; 2. OCTC Southeast Campus, 1901 Southeastern Parkway, Owensboro, KY 42303; 3. OCTC Downtown Campus, 1503 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42303.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be authorized to conduct business in Kentucky and maintain good standing throughout the contract duration.
