The University of Alaska Anchorage is undertaking a renovation project at the Consortium Library to enhance the existing office and art gallery space. The goal of this contract is to provide more art gallery space through various renovations, including improvements to lighting, flooring, and HVAC systems.
The base bid work includes: - Renovation of the existing office/art gallery space - Installation of new lighting (4 fixtures) - Construction of a new door leading to an existing storage area - Installation of new flooring, new substrate, and new gypsum wall board (GWB) with paint. Adjustments will also be made to the existing HVAC ducting to coordinate with the new layout. Additionally, there are several additive alternates: 1. New track lighting 2. Adding furring to existing curved walls on the gallery side 3. Straightening the corridor/gallery curved wall 4. Adding a wood accent feature 5.
