Summary: Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the nature trail boardwalk at Riverside, located at Fort Matanzas National Monument (FOMA). The project aims to enhance accessibility and safety while preserving the site's natural beauty and historical integrity. The current boardwalk has undergone numerous repairs due to rotted lumber, necessitating its replacement. This solicitation is set aside for Women-Owned Small Businesses. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for removing the existing nature trail/boardwalk structure and installing a new elevated boardwalk measuring 1033 feet long and 6 feet wide. The new structure will include three integrated seating areas equipped with benches and wayside exhibits. The work includes clearing vegetation no more than 24 inches on each side of the boardwalk and seating/exhibit areas. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation, and incidentals necessary for the completion of this project. Compliance with applicable standards such as OSHA regulations, Florida Building Code, and International Building Standards is required. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from July 13, 2026, to October 13, 2026. Place of Performance Fort Matanzas National Monument, 8635 A1A S, St. Augustine, FL 32080. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered as Women-Owned Small Businesses. A Bid Guarantee (Bid Bond) of 20% of the bid total is required with proposals. Contractors must also provide a completed SF-1442 form along with a technical proposal that includes capabilities and experience, subcontractor use and work history, and a past performance questionnaire.
