Replace Three Variable Air Volume Systems

Summary: Background The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), part of the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking to replace three older Fan Powered Variable Air Volume (VAV) units at their Loveland, Colorado location. This contract aims to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with current standards by installing new VAV systems. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: - Provide and install three (3) Fan Powered VAV units. - Provide and install galvanized ductwork and fittings. - Demo and dispose of the old VAV units. - Electric disconnect and connect services will be performed by WAPA. - Controls installation will be managed by either JCI or WAPA. - Equipment lifts will be required for installation. - Cartage, delivery, and freight services are also included in the scope of work. The contractor must comply with all Colorado rules and regulations regarding removal and disposal of equipment. Period of Performance The contract is expected to commence on May 27, 2026, with a duration that extends beyond this date as specified in the solicitation. Place of Performance All work will be performed at the WAPA Rocky Mountain Regional Office located at 5555 E. Crossroads Blvd, Loveland, CO 80539-8986. Bidder Requirements This acquisition is set aside for small business vendors only. Bidders must adhere to Wage Determination 2015-5421 Rev no. 33 applicable to this order. Additionally, all site visit requests must be submitted by June 17, 2026.
