The State of Alaska (SOA), Department of Health (DOH), Division of Public Health (DPH), Section of Epidemiology (SOE), Immunization Program, is soliciting proposals from a qualified contractor to provide vaccination services to support community-based initiatives. The goal is to administer recommended vaccines to Alaskans across all ages, particularly in underserved communities or areas with low immunization coverage rates. This initiative aims to prevent and control vaccine-preventable diseases in Alaska by ensuring equitable access to vaccines.
The contractor will handle operational logistics and staffing for mobile clinics, local community vaccination events, and outreach activities. Services include: - Administration of vaccines following SOA protocols. - Establishment, operation, and deactivation of Points of Dispensing (POD) sites, including mobile operations. - Implementation of POD workflow (triage, registration, vaccination, observation). - Culturally responsive communication with Alaska Native populations. - Documentation and reporting per DOH requirements. The contractor must also: - Organize or partner in delivering at least 50 mobile clinics statewide each year. - Maintain records for a minimum of three years after providing services. - Submit patient data to the SOA Immunization Information System within 14 days of administration. - Provide all necessary vaccination supplies and equipment. In case of a vaccine-preventable disease outbreak, the contractor will hold a large-scale public vaccination clinic within 24 to 72 hours of notification.
The contract will commence upon award for an initial term of approximately one year, with four one-year optional renewals, totaling approximately five years.
Vaccination services will be provided across all six regions of Alaska: Northern, Interior, Anchorage/Mat-Su, Gulf Coast, Southwest, and Southeast. Locations may include remote areas on or off the road system.
Offerors must comply with mandatory requirements outlined in Submittal Form F. The contractor must provide proof of insurance covering workers' compensation, commercial automobile liability, general liability, and professional liability. All services must be performed in the United States unless otherwise specified.
