ISHS Artifact Collections Packing and Moving

Background

The Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) is seeking professional moving services to pack, crate, care for, and move artifact collections from two separate warehouses in Boise, Idaho to a new consolidated facility in Boise. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and efficient relocation of valuable historical artifacts.

Work Details

The contractor will provide professional moving services that include: packing and crating of artifacts, careful handling and transportation of items, and ensuring the integrity and safety of the collections during the move. Specific requirements include maintaining Fine Art Transit Insurance with a minimum limit of $2,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate for fine art and historical artifacts. Additionally, the contractor must maintain professional liability insurance with coverage for packing and handling services with a minimum limit of $1,000,000 per claim and $2,000,000 aggregate.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a specified timeframe as determined by the ISHS.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Boise, Idaho at two separate warehouses and a new consolidated facility also located in Boise.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must provide certificates of insurance prior to starting work under the contract. Required insurances include: Commercial General Liability Insurance with limits of not less than $1,000,000 each occurrence; Commercial Automobile Liability Insurance; Workers Compensation Insurance with specific limits; Professional Liability Insurance; and Fine Art Transit Insurance. The State of Idaho must be included as an additional insured on all liability policies.
