Security Management System

Background

The Little Rock School District is seeking proposals for the installation of a fire alarm system as part of a comprehensive building management and facility security system. The goal of this contract is to enhance the safety and security of the district's facilities through advanced technology and services. The Procurement Department is the sole point of contact for this Request for Proposal (RFP).

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for implementing a Security Management System that includes: 1. Visitor Management System (Phase I): - Configurable workflows for various visitor types. - Automatic ID scanning and screening against registries. - Email/SMS notifications and maintaining visitor records. - Badge printing capabilities with visitor information. - Real-time dashboards and reporting functionalities. - Student check-in processes integrated with SIS attendance systems. - Event management features including pre-registration and check-in protocols. 2. Emergency Management System (Phase II): - Alert initiation from multiple devices with configurable alert types. - Instant notifications across various channels. - Integration with 911 services and first responders, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. - Digital integrations with existing safety systems and drill management capabilities. 3. Badge Alert System (Phase III): - Wearable alert badges for discreet emergency activation. - Real-time monitoring of badge status and integration with existing school safety infrastructure.

Period of Performance

The contract is anticipated to cover approximately 50 locations, with work commencing upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The project will be conducted in phases starting from July 2027.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at various locations within the Little Rock School District.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of compliance with National Fire Protection Association standards. They must submit a notarized proposer assurance and disclosure form, along with three references that include company name, address, contact name, and phone number. Additionally, bidders must maintain professional liability insurance coverage of no less than $500,000.
