2026 Test Well 25 Construction

Work Requested

The City of Caldwell is seeking bids for the construction of a multi-level monitoring test well at the Caldwell Housing Authority property. The work will include: - Drilling and constructing a test well to an anticipated maximum depth of approximately 600 feet. - Installation of up to seven (7) individual monitoring wells within a single minimum 19-inch diameter borehole, using a 20-inch diameter steel surface casing. - Potential installation of an additional shallow monitoring well if required. - Monitoring wells are expected to utilize 4-inch diameter Schedule 80 PVC casing. Background

The project site is approximately 0.59 acres, located at the southeast corner of State Highway 44 and Farmway/Kent Ranch Road in Caldwell, Idaho (NWNW Section 9, T4N, R3W), on Caldwell Housing Authority property. The location provides adequate access and working space for drilling operations and associated equipment. The selected site meets Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) Well Construction Standards and is intended to allow future correlation of test well results with a planned municipal supply well. The test well location will be surveyed and staked before construction begins.

Contract Requirements

The test well must be constructed to meet all applicable IDWR Well Construction Standards. The site must be prepared and maintained to support drilling and associated activities.
