Background

The State of Arkansas, through the Department of Public Safety (DPS), is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to procure Specialty Vehicle Insurance. The purpose of this contract is to obtain pricing and secure a contractor who can provide comprehensive vehicle insurance coverage for the Arkansas State Police and its specialty vehicles. The contract aims to ensure that the DPS has adequate insurance coverage for its operational needs.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing annual coverage for the Arkansas State Police's specialty vehicles, which include various tactical and command vehicles, communication systems, and other specialized equipment. Specific requirements include: - An A.M. Best Company rating of A (Excellent), Class Financial Size Category XII or better. - A dedicated agent with at least five years of experience and three years in drafting and reviewing insurance policies. - Delivery of one electronic copy and one paper copy of each policy and all endorsements to the DPS. - Negotiation of policy form changes as requested by DPS. - Coverage for specific vehicles including:

- Armored Truck B.E.A.R. - Tactical Vehicles including Bearcat 3, Nomad, and others with specified deductibles ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. - Claims management services including a 24-hour claims reporting phone number.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will be for one year starting from July 1, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for up to six additional one-year terms, not exceeding a total aggregate contract term of seven consecutive years.

The services will be performed in Little Rock, Arkansas, where the Department of Public Safety is located.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must certify that they are not engaged in any boycotts against Israel or industries related to energy, fossil fuels, firearms, or ammunition.
