Winter Wonderland & Ice Skating Experience

Background

The City of Conyers is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to design, install, operate, maintain, and remove a seasonal 'Winter Wonderland' and Ice Skating Experience at Celebration Park located in Olde Town Conyers, Georgia. This initiative aims to create a premier holiday destination that enhances tourism, supports local economic development, increases pedestrian activity, and provides a safe, family-friendly attraction for residents and visitors.

Work Details

The selected contractor will provide a comprehensive turnkey operation including all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, attractions, operational management, maintenance, ticketing, safety oversight, and related services necessary for the event. Key components include: 1. Ice Skating Rink: A temporary rink housed under the existing pavilion with safety barriers, ice-making systems, skate rentals (children's and adult sizes), staffing for admissions and safety monitoring, online ticketing capabilities, daily maintenance of ice quality, and ADA accessibility accommodations where feasible. 2. Winter Wonderland Attractions: Vendors are encouraged to propose additional attractions such as holiday lighting displays, photo stations, themed structures, food concessions, and seasonal entertainment like Santa Claus experiences or rides. 3. Site Design & Layout: Develop a comprehensive site plan ensuring efficient pedestrian flow and crowd management while coordinating with existing park infrastructure. 4. Operations & Staffing: Provide trained personnel for setup and operations while maintaining cleanliness throughout the event site. 5. Installation & Removal: Complete installation before the opening date and restore the site post-event.

Period of Performance

The anticipated event season will operate from mid-November 2026 through late January 2027. Installation is expected to begin in October 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide evidence of their ability to supply a current Contractor’s Public Liability Insurance Policy with specified coverage limits. The City of Conyers must be named as an additional insured on all policies. Bidders must also comply with E-Verify requirements for employment verification.
