Summary: Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Wilmington VA Medical Center, is issuing a construction contract for the Emergency Room Doorway project. Work Details The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the following tasks: 1. Remove existing door and doorway material. 2. Supply and install a new hollow metal door frame and door. 3. Supply and install stucco and wire mesh. 4. Connect a PIV reader to the door. 5. Address the stone walkway area directly in front of the doorway. The contractor must ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local codes/regulations/standards throughout the project duration. Infection control measures must be implemented as per contract specifications, including dust control programs and safety protocols during construction.
