Background

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is issuing a solicitation for the procurement of a flatbed truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 66,000 pounds. The goal of this contract is to acquire a vehicle that meets specific operational requirements for use in transportation and maintenance activities within the state.

Work Details

The contract requires the delivery of a new flatbed truck with the following specifications: - GVWR: No less than 66,000 pounds. - Engine: Liquid cooled 4 cycle diesel with a minimum piston displacement of 12.7 liters, producing at least 450 SAE gross horsepower and 1,650 lb-ft torque. - Transmission: Allison Automatic, Six forward speeds.

18’ length, 96” width, constructed with specified materials and features including stake racks and storage areas.

Water Recirculation Pump

PTO driven, Berkeley Model BO3539.

Recovery Winch

35,000 lbs rating, hydraulic driven with specific mounting requirements. - Additional features include hydraulic power steering, air conditioning, dual electric windshield wipers, and various safety and operational controls as detailed in the specifications.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed upon award and is expected to include delivery timelines as specified in the bid documents.

Place of Performance

The delivery location will be specified by ARDOT at the time of contract award.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must certify that they do not employ or contract with illegal immigrants as per Arkansas Code Annotated § 19-11-105.
