RIARNG Bristol Armory HVAC

Background

The Rhode Island Army National Guard (RIARNG) is seeking vendors to furnish and install a cooling dominant HVAC system utilizing inverter-driven, air-source heat pump equipment at the Bristol Armory. This initiative aligns with the agency's mission to maintain operational readiness and provide a comfortable environment for personnel. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held to discuss the project details.

Work Details

Vendors are required to furnish and install a cooling dominant HVAC system at the Bristol Armory. The system must utilize inverter-driven, air-source heat pump equipment. The base bid includes: 1 unit of HVAC system installation. Additional specifications include an allowance for site conditions of $5,000, unit costs for additional gypsum board for patching existing walls (cost per sq. ft.), and deduct costs for acoustical ceiling tile and grid (cost per sq. ft.). Liquidated damages are set at $250 per day for delays beyond the substantial completion date.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence 30 calendar days after receipt of the purchase order, with substantial completion expected within five months from the start of construction. Final completion is anticipated 30 calendar days thereafter.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Bristol Armory located at 470 Metacom Ave., Bristol, RI.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must possess all necessary licenses and permits required by Rhode Island law to perform the work described in this solicitation. A valid certificate of registration issued by the Rhode Island Contractors’ Registration Board must be maintained throughout the contract term. Additionally, vendors must submit either a bid bond or certified check as part of their proposal.
