Runway Safety Area Improvements & Runway LED Lighting, Electrical Vault, & NAVAIDS

Background

The Indianapolis Airport Authority is issuing this contract for improvements to the runway safety area and installation of runway LED lighting, electrical vault, and NAVAIDS at the Indianapolis International Airport. The goal of this contract is to enhance safety and operational efficiency at the airport.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for all work, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project as specified in the drawings and specifications prepared by Mead & Hunt, Inc. This includes: 1. Runway Safety Area Improvements 2. Installation of Runway LED Lighting 3. Construction of Electrical Vault 4. Installation of NAVAIDS (Navigational Aids). The successful bidder must ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws as established under the Davis-Bacon Act.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and will continue until completion, with specific timelines to be outlined in the final agreement.

Place of Performance

All work will be performed at the Indianapolis International Airport located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with Indiana Code Section 5-16-13-1 regarding prequalification with the Indiana Department of Administration or Indiana Department of Transportation for contracts estimated at $150,000 or greater. Bidders are required to submit a scanned copy of a bid bond amounting to not less than 5% of the contract amount and must provide acceptable surety bonds for 100% of the contract price upon award.
