Airport Wildlife Perimeter Fence Project

Work Requested

The City of Keene is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the Airport Wildlife Perimeter Fence Project at Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN). The primary work involves: - Installing a wildlife perimeter fence to fully enclose the Air Operations Area (AOA). - Constructing new western and eastern fence alignments that connect to the existing airfield security fence. - Adding barbed wire to a segment of the existing fence along Old Homestead Highway where barbed wire is currently absent. - Implementing and maintaining construction erosion and sedimentary control best management practices (BMPs). - Tree removal, clearing, and grubbing. - Minor unclassified excavation and embankment work. - Wetland matting installation. - Applying loam seed and mulch. - Completing all other incidental items necessary for a complete project. It is important to note that the construction of the proposed fence alignment will require the closure of Runway 14-32 and partial closures of Taxiway A, as detailed in Section 4 Airfield Impacts.
