This notice is for a BPA Call Order to be issued against an existing Land Managementlntegrated Resources (LMIR) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). To respond to this solicitation, contractors must have an existing LMIR BPA that includes Cone Collection Services for the Sawtooth National Forest. Background The Land Management Integrated Resources (LMIR) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is issued by the Forest Service, which aims to restore and reforest critical habitats for the Cassia Crossbill in the Sawtooth National Forest. This specific BPA Call Order is for the collection of Lodgepole Pine cones in the Trapper Peak area, which has been affected by habitat loss due to wildfires. The project is vital for reforesting efforts and supporting the declining population of the Cassia Crossbill. Work Details The contractor will perform Lodgepole Pinecone Collection within four designated units totaling approximately 15.25 acres in the Cassia Division of the Minidoka Ranger District. Tasks include: 1. Providing all necessary labor, equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals to complete the work. 2. Climbing trees to collect cones from designated Lodgepole Pine trees with a Diameter at Breast Height (DBH) range of 10-14 inches and an average height of 60-75 feet. 3. Ensuring safety measures are in place, including having two climbers in voice contact and stopping operations if safety is compromised. 4. Collaborating with Forest Service personnel who will assist with guiding contractors to collection trees and managing ground crew operations. 5. Processing collected cones, including cleaning, measuring by bushel, bagging, tagging, and transporting them to storage facilities. 6. Completing required checklists and maintaining communication during operations for emergency situations. Period of Performance The contract period of performance is from the Date of Award through September 17, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed in the Cassia Division within the Minidoka Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest.
