Background

Lincoln Electric System (LES) is seeking bids for the procurement of street light poles to support its mission of providing reliable electric service. The goal of this contract is to furnish and deliver street light poles to enhance public safety and infrastructure in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Work Details

The contract involves the supply of 60 street light poles, specifically: - 29 units of 'Pole F 20ft Embedded PT Round Black - Heavy Duty' (LES M# 19161) - 31 units of 'Pole F 20ft Embedded PT Round Gray - Heavy Duty' (LES M# 19162). Each pole must be a round fiberglass design capable of accommodating an Effective Projected Area (EPA) of 8.5 square feet at wind speeds of 90 mph. The specifications include a smooth finish, embedded installation, standard handhole at 18 inches above grade, cable entrance at the same height, and post top mounting with a tenon top diameter and length of 3 x 3.5 inches. The black poles must be sourced from manufacturers such as Lithonia Lighting Acuity Brands and others listed in the solicitation, while the gray poles have similar sourcing requirements.
