RIC Fire Alarm and Suppression Testing, Maintenance and Repair

Background

Rhode Island College is seeking quotes from vendors to provide fire alarm and suppression equipment, as well as maintenance and repair services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems within the college's facilities.

Work Details

The contract includes the following services: 1. Quarterly testing of fire alarm systems for three years (four tests per year). 2. Semi-annual suppression tests for nine suppression systems over three years (two tests per year). 3. Provision of hourly labor at a specified rate for maintenance and repair work, including overtime rates. 4. The vendor must comply with all relevant licensing and insurance requirements as outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance

The initial contract period will begin on July 1, 2026, and end on June 30, 2029. Contracts may be renewed for up to one additional 12-month period based on vendor performance and availability of funds.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at Rhode Island College, located at 600 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, RI 02908.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must register in Ocean State Procures™ to submit responses. They are required to possess all necessary licenses for the services provided, including telecommunications licensure if applicable. Insurance requirements include liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence, workers' compensation, automobile liability, and other specified coverages.
