Bypass Uninterruptible Power System

Background

Lancaster County is seeking bids from qualified companies for the purchase and installation of a new Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system for the Lancaster County Correctional Facility located at 3801 West 'O' Street, Lincoln, NE. The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable power supply to the facility, maintaining operational integrity during power outages.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the removal of an existing non-operational UPS and the installation of a new Galaxy UPS with Bypass. The preferred model is GVSUPS20KB4GS, which includes: - 1 internal 9Ah smart modular battery string, expandable to 4 - Start-up service for 5x8 Single-Unit 10-40kW 208V and 20-80kW 480V. Additionally, three (3) extra battery strings are required to match the existing setup. The contractor must also replace the battery cabinet and bypass cabinet. All costs associated with labor, materials, permits, and any other related expenses must be included in the bid. The contractor is responsible for maintaining safety and functionality during installation and must comply with local regulations regarding waste disposal and recycling.

Period of Performance

The project completion date is set for September 18, 2026. Work may be performed during regular operating hours from Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with any work outside these hours requiring prior approval from the Owner.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Lancaster County Correctional Facility located at 3801 West 'O' Street, Lincoln, NE.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the City of Lincoln/Lancaster County Purchasing Department to submit a bid via the Ebid system. They must demonstrate experience in installing UPS systems similar to those described in this solicitation and provide three references. Compliance with insurance requirements as specified in attached documents is mandatory.
