Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District is issuing this solicitation for debris removal services at the Franklin Falls Dam located in Franklin, NH. The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective removal of debris from the log boom and catchment area, thereby maintaining safety and environmental standards. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all transportation, equipment, labor, and job planning needed to remove debris from the log boom and catchment area at Franklin Falls Dam. All debris must be removed from and properly disposed of off U.S. Government property according to Federal, State, and local regulations. Chipping of debris in place is not permitted unless all chips are transported off-site for proper disposal. Specific tasks include: 1) Providing all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for debris removal at both the log boom and catchment area; 2) Ensuring compliance with safety requirements as outlined in EM 385-1-1; 3) Preparing a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan; 4) Conducting inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement; 5) Submitting required documentation prior to commencement of work including various forms related to safety and equipment compliance. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract shall be 120 days from contract award, weather permitting.
