Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Network Contracting Office 17, is issuing a solicitation for Grounds Maintenance Services at the Waco/Temple VA facility. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the grounds are maintained to provide a safe and pleasant environment for veterans and visitors. This solicitation is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBC). Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive grounds maintenance services which include but are not limited to: mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, mulching, planting, and maintaining flower beds and shrubs. The contractor must also ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA standards and submit a detailed safety plan prior to commencing work. Specific tasks include: conducting job site inspections for potential hazards, providing personal protective equipment for workers, ensuring all personnel have completed required OSHA training courses, and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations. Period of Performance The contract will be executed over a base period of 12 months with two additional option years available. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the Waco/Temple VA facility located at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple TX 76504.
