Background The purpose of this contract is for the overhaul and testing of Marotta valves, specifically for the USS Sullivans DDG 68. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, facilities, equipment, and OEM materials to ensure the valves are returned to a fully mission-capable status. This effort is critical as the valves have been identified as not operating within their designed parameters, impacting operational readiness. Work Details The contractor shall perform a standard overhaul of the following Marotta valves: seven RM11HB-6B valves and two RM11MA valves. The specific tasks include: conducting preliminary inspections and disassembly upon receipt; cleaning and routine overhaul by replacing all soft parts with OEM parts; submitting a Condition Found Report (CFR) if additional repairs are needed; reassembling and rigorously testing the valves according to manufacturer specifications; and tagging each valve with test pressure, date of test, and identification details. The contractor must ensure that all overhauled units are packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transit. Place of Performance Testing will be conducted off-site at Moody Marine Services, located at 589-1 Levy Rd, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233.
