Background The Walker River Irrigation Project (WRIIP) is operated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Western Region Office. The project requires excavation of soils and cleaning of ditches to maintain irrigation systems effectively. The goal of this contract is to acquire a mini excavator that can navigate the uneven and narrow grounds surrounding many WRIIP ditches, thereby improving maintenance efficiency and worker safety. Work Details The contract involves the delivery of one mini excavator with the following specifications: - Operating weight between 10,000 and 12,000 pounds - Enclosed cab - Mechanical thumb - Two buckets (18-24 inches wide): one with teeth and one with a smooth edge. The mini excavator must match the towing limitations of the service truck used in the project. Delivery is scheduled within 60 days after award, during business hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday at WRIIP in Schurz, NV. The vendor must also provide warranty service on-site in Schurz or transport it to a nearby shop within 100 miles. Period of Performance Delivery is anticipated within 60 days after award. Place of Performance The mini excavator will be delivered to the Bureau of Indian Affairs Walker River Paiute Tribe at PO Box 220, Schurz, NV 89427.
