Flooring Replacement Project

Background

Belknap County is seeking proposals from qualified flooring contractors to furnish all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, and related services necessary for the removal and replacement of flooring at the Belknap County Superior Court located at 64 Court Street, Laconia, New Hampshire. The goal of this contract is to select a qualified contractor capable of completing the project in accordance with the specifications, project schedule, and requirements outlined in this Request for Proposals (RFP).

Work Details

The scope of work generally includes: - Removal and disposal of existing flooring materials; - Surface preparation and floor leveling as required; - Furnishing and installation of new flooring materials; - Installation of new 6-inch cove base; - Installation of required transitions and edge treatments; - Cleanup and disposal of all construction debris; - Coordination of work activities to minimize disruption. The proposed flooring system shall meet or exceed the following specifications:

Flooring Material

Manufacturer: Mohawk, Product Line: Mycotexture 2.5, Color: Sawdust, Approximate Quantity: 3,294 square feet;

Cove Base

Approximately 800 linear feet of 6-inch cove base with color coordinated with the County. Floor preparation may include removal of adhesives, patching, crack repair, surface leveling, moisture mitigation if required, and transition installation. The contractor shall verify all dimensions and existing site conditions prior to submission of proposal.

Period of Performance

The project schedule will be coordinated with Belknap County to minimize disruptions. Work hours are limited to Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM unless otherwise approved by the County. Night and weekend work may be necessary depending on operational needs.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Belknap County Superior Court located at 64 Court Street, Laconia, New Hampshire.

Bidder Requirements

A mandatory pre-bid site visitation is required prior to submission of proposals. Contractors must verify all existing conditions, measurements, access limitations, and project requirements during this site visit.
